Floatwheel adv Shipping Delays

The floatwheel adv and adv pro were supposed to ship in February, but March has arrived and the devices are not in customers’ hands. Today, floatwheel released a production update on YouTube which explains the delays. Tony Lai, one of floatwheel’s founders, elaborated on issues with plastic part deformities and finishing. The company is also working to tighten up manufacturing tolerances on the adv’s hub motor. Battery packs and chargers are mostly complete and aluminum parts are being anodized. As Lai stated, a late board is better than a DOA board, and I have to agree. He said that they would be lucky to have the devices out by the end of March, so I think April or May will be more likely.

Honestly, I don’t think anyone expected this board to ship on time so this comes as no surprise. But, if you still have doubts of floatwheel’s authenticity or intentions, I encourage you to check out a few videos on their YouTube channel. They have been incredibly (and refreshingly) transparent about the status of their flagship products. Check out the full video below.
